OT: Citizens for Financial Responsibility

This is off topic, but worth sharing.  As an avid market participant I find it becoming more and more obvious that the game is rigged in favor of the large banks in investment houses.  I think what crisis with subprime mortgages could have been avoided with proven conservative and fair lending practices.  The greed and corruption have been allowed to run rampant under this Treasury and Fed Reserve.  Its time for a change.  Please help me in supporting an effort to let Congress know that we demand a fair and trust worthy financial system.

Sorry, cannot agree. Their proposal is silly. It feeds at the gut, and scares you with their data, most of which is misrepresented. The core proposals would do far more harm than good, though there are a couple thoughts (such as more transparency) worth exploring - but not in the manner they would implement. Their statements reflect the small cases and not the vast majority of questionable activity, or point to the few instants and portray them as common place. It is classic "throw out the baby with the bathwater", and it plays to many misconceptions that are commonly held. Anyone supporting this has not looked into the real details of the current and past situations being represented in the proposal.
